Faculty Biography



TEDDY BURGH
Flute, Alto/Soprano/Tenor Saxophone

Teddy Burgh received a BA in Music at
Hampton University, Hampton Virginia.
Teddy teaches Saxophone and Flute.
He has shared the stage with a number of artists including:

Ray Charles
Richie Cole
Yolanda Adams
The Manhattans
Kathy Sledge
and many more.....

Currently Teddy performs with the
Four Knights Band (Jacksonville, NC) and the
Lee Venter's Vermillion Sands Band (Wilmington NC

In addition to performing music, Teddy also has a PhD in Archaeology and teaches at UNCW.
One of the his areas of special interest is archaeomusicology, also know as "Music Archaeology."
Today he continues to enjoy writing and performing.
His most recent work is a book entitled:
Music Culture In Ancient Palestine with T&T Clark/Continuum Press.
